i'm in the library right now. specifically, "college" library. it is beyond-fucking-me why this school has nicknamed its most popular library "college" like what genius thought that up?

anyway it's about 1:30PM and i have a midterm in economics at 5:45PM. i have done so little to prepare for this subject, possibly the hardest subject i have ever encountered. and i'm having so much trouble giving a fuck. i actually have to summon the strength to look like i give a fuck. i snapchatted my friend twerk "midterm in T minus idgaf" with a picture of me on the dock looking out on to the beautiful lake here. i thought he would think it was funny. he snapped back, "it saddens me how little you care." and i was like woah. it's strange to think anyone here cares about me like that. except sonia.

anyway, i'm going to get a solid F on this midterm and i dont care. maybe it will actually stir up some motivation for me to try later. i have 2 other midterms tomorrow and friday.

every one of my friends here cares ***sooo muchhh*** about their grades that it makes me feel very lonely. idk why.

NOTHING HAPPENS IN MY SOCIAL LIFE AND EVERYTHING IS REALLY BORING.

I've told some of you about this, but there's this guy that works at the sandwich station in our dining hall. I had been subtly flirting with him for weeks when one random night I see him at a party. We flirt heavily and then suddenly I have to leave and he doesn't get my number or anything.

Now, I see him every Tuesday nights when he works at the sandwich station and Wednesday afternoons when he's cleaning the dining hall that I study in.

Little to nothing happens, except awkward smiling and aversion of eyes.

Everyone on my floor knows about this and are constantly saying I need to be more aggressive.

I don't even know this dude.

dug does this thing where he hears me (from where ever he is in the house) open my bedroom door in the morning and make the short walk to the bathroom (by "short walk" i mean 3 steps). with either a bone or a toy in his mouth he slowly climbs the stairs and peers past the railing to watch me open the bathroom door and walk three steps to my right. if i acknowledge him, he will gallop towards me and bask in whatever attention i give to him.

he did this just now, for the first time since i've  gotten back.
